Preserve History
Baltimore Woods is the first property we saved in 1972. We were able to secure a loan from the Nature Conservancy to buy the property before it was sold to developers. Several public schools, scout groups, and citizens in Onondaga County participated in our first walkathon to raise the money to repay the loan and save this beloved nature preserve forever.
Site Features
Baltimore Woods features sloping fens and mature forest with diverse flora and fauna with miles of well maintained trails. There is an interpretive center and several miles of trails of varying difficulty from easy to moderate.
